With less than two weeks to go until the Nunavut Northern Alumni Classic, the momentum is building! We are energized by the work of Hockey Helps the Homeless (HHTH) in creating a one-of-a-kind event, and we're proud to support, both as the Founding Sponsor and through our involvement on the planning committee.
We’re particularly honoured to participate alongside our project partner, EllisDon, who is the Presenting Sponsor of the event.
From the moment Red Jar came on board to support, we knew this event would matter deeply to EllisDon, given their long-standing commitment to community, purposeful partnerships, and meaningful action in the North, including their commitment to reconciliation and respectful collaboration with Indigenous communities. We were right. They didn’t hesitate to step up.
This is what strong partnerships look like: mutual respect, trust, and a shared commitment to doing the right thing.
"At EllisDon, fostering strong, enduring relationships with Indigenous communities is fundamental to who we are," said Tom Howell, Senior Vice President Indigenous, Government & Labour Relations, EllisDon. "Our support of the Nunavut Northern Alumni Classic with HHTH in Iqaluit reflects our commitment to standing behind local organizations addressing food insecurity and homelessness; working alongside partners like Red Jar through collaboration grounded in respect, trust, and reconciliation."
"This event aligns closely with Red Jar’s commitment to collaborative, community-driven work. We believe long-term, sustainable change starts with the essentials, safe housing, and food security. We’re proud to support what this event represents and to stand alongside EllisDon in making it happen.” said Jason Sparaga, Managing Partner, Red Jar Energy Partners.
Together, Red Jar and EllisDon are committed to collaboration that is intentional, respectful, and aligned toward the same goal: creating positive, lasting change in the communities where we work and live.
